Avoid Five Common Mistakes While Wearing Traditional Sarees

If you’re intended to shop for a traditional saree, there is no second choice of pure handloom ones due to their rich heritage background. Albeit being traditional, with the right choice and perfect way of draping showing your curves will make you look simply stunning, sensual, and unique in any ceremony, be it a wedding, festival, or formal office day. However, if you are one of those who wear sarees occasionally, make sure to avoid some common mistakes when it comes to draping it because it can potentially damage the whole spirit and gracious look of wearing your handloom saree.

Choosing Wrong Shoes

Ensure to go for the ideal shoes given that you are wearing a traditional saree. Avoid wearing general platform heels, sandals, or sneakers which will affect your loveliness. Rather wearing it paired with high heels or stilettos will make you look slimmer, taller, and stylish.

Misfit Blouse

The second biggest mistake is choosing an odd blouse. Irrespective of whether you prefer wearing a matching blouse or going for a contrasting one, it must be complemented to your traditional saree. Similarly, draping a misfit blouse either loosely fit or too tight can make people laugh at you and negatively toll not only on the beauty of your saree and but also your appearance as well.

Overlooking the Occasion

One of the major blunders that often women make is not taking into account the occasion for which it is worn because it’s one of the central factors that determine the type of saree that you should wear. Your carelessness and lack of knowledge will affect your taste, culture, and personally grossly. Make sure to pick up a suitable handloom saree depending on whether you partake in a wedding ceremony, go for offering flowers and chanting the mantra in the prayer to the goddess, or get started for your workplace.

Be Caring Regarding Pallu Draping

While there are different ways to drape your pallu around, you should evaluate the style that goes ideal with your look and body type. In general, draping a traditional saree with open fall looks great on women who are tall, however; if you are short in height it makes sense to make smaller pleats keeping the border of your saree exhibiting nicely. Using a trendy brooch of smaller shape will look you smart rather than using several safety pins for retaining the palates of pallu orderly.

Avoid Wearing Heavy Jewellery Gone are the days of the concept of wearing heavy jewelleries with traditional sarees. If you want to grab the attention of the participants in a gathering or party and get an appreciation for your dressing sense, change your outlook right away and, and revamp you with a trendy subtle thin necklace with small pendants, earrings, and bracelets to highlight your look.
